Bad keyboard + Baseball bat = working keyboard?

Ok, so my friends keyboard stopped working so we got a replacement. I then took the old keyboard and for fun I hit it with a baseball bat. Next I decided to check and see if the keyboard would work now that it had been maimed. Guess what? It works now. Every key.

Moral of the story kids? Hit your old keyboard with a baseball bat and it may magically spring to life.

Wow, it has been way too long since I have updated this thing. Guess I got really busy. It is understandable as I am graduating in a couple months, then I have no idea what I am going to do. I have a couple technology companies interested in hiring me, but if I get into grad school I will go there. Well, I would write more but I have been feeling ill these past couple days so I am going to take a nap before help sessions tonight

8/25/07: Update/correction. Changed magnetic to electric, thanks to dr vogel

Could i develop a dual layered electric field that when rain entered the first layer it would be positively charged and when it hit the second layer, it would be repelled by another positive charge? hmmm. I have a long way to go with this idea

What is a bigger number? 6 or 172? now If i do my calculations right, every american miner is worth 28.666666666 chinese...hmm, now what have you heard more about? I had to do a search for China to find the article on the chinese mine flood, but i had to go to my frontpage to find the american mine collapse... Makes you wonder if the world is as small as we think it is

So i think i came up with a good idea of how the fulcrum of my trebuchet will work. i think it needs a little work but it should be ok. I think the only problem i may come upon is the lever arm falling out.

So yeah, Andy and I almost died today.

Some background info. Andy and I are working mechanical crew this summer and the school gave us a 1992 blue s10 tahoe pickup. To put things in perspective, this truck is rusted over and a stick shift. The only thing this truck is good for is going from point A to point C and back to point B with a load of sh..stuff.

So we pulled into the mechanical parking lot today to go and clean the boiler in the basement of Sorensen. After we finished, we went back out to the truck to go over to the power house to see if Ralph needed us to do anything. As Andy shifted out of reverse into 1st, the engine stopped. I laughed at him cause I thought he had slipped the clutch and stalled the engine. As he is trying to restart the truck, Jack Duncan comes walking over and tells us to get out of the truck. We thought he was joking till he kept walking towards us. Apparently the truck was leaking gasoline. badly. We luckily stopped doing stuff before we blew up.

So yeah, we almost suffered an explosive death. I blame the Jesus, AKA Buddy Christ, action figure we have taped to the dashboard.

Wireless Energy

Benjamin Franklin anyone?

Yeah, in case you didnt know, Benjamin Franklin had the idea for a city powered by bolts of static electricity comming from a centralized massive Leyden Jar.

And funny note, as it so happens back in my junior year of highschool I had an idea for wireless energy by using different radio frequencies to transfer energy through the fabric of timespace. I even made sketches and everything, I just wish I could find them to prove I'm not making this up. Oh well. Back to Cash Cab.

Yay, I'm actually using this blog, not that anyone is reading it. Well, I figured out what I want to do for now. I'm going to finish up here at Augie and get a Physics and Computer Science degree and then go to grad school for an Archetectural engineering degree. So yeah, now that my crisis is happily sitting in my head, I thought I would rant again, that and my attention span returned. First thing I will rant about...This doesn't auto capitalize my I's, that and I was having trouble getting it to let me post an entry. growl. well for no reason, here is a picture of my puppy! MISSY, I miss her so much. So, I think I want to do architectural engineering for now. I would really like to become a custom home Contractor. I will be looking into it this summer. I should prolly register for classes if in case I decide to come back here next year... Off to watch futurama! Peace out.

So yeah, For anyone reading this, which is all of one person, Hi.
I kinda had a breakdown last night and today. I figured out I don't want to be solving equations for the rest of my life, that I would rather get a job where I can do what I want, when I want, but physics is not that. I guess I am worried that if I change my major, people will be dissappointed in me. I mean, my dad puts so much faith in me, Dr. Vogel sees so much in me, it is hard to go up to people like that and say, hey, I don't want to do this anymore, expecially when I havn't even taken any higher level classes! Why can't I just go to some business school and learn how to become a Contractor and build houses? At least then I wouldn't have to do things that require a piece of paper to say i know how to do it. Well, I will rant later when my attention span returns.
